Costco Return Policy Not As Generous on Electronics

Friday I linked to a blog that said it returned a broken big screen TV to Costco 2 years later and got a new one no questions asked.

I’m sure they are telling the truth but it doesn’t look like thats Costco’s regular policy. Look here:

We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. Exceptions: Televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD / MP3 players and cellular phones must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund.

I think that’s the policy for online purchases, but I don’t know if it’s also the policy when you buy in the stores. Maybe that blogger got the easy return because of having bought in a store? I don’t know.

Anyone know if Costco’s return policy for electronics is different when you buy at a warehouse instead of on line?
